Sara Bardwell

Sara Bardwell has over eight years of experience in clinical research with a focus in trial operations, design, and execution, and with expertise in management of rare oncology trials including head & neck, cervical, and gastrointestinal sarcoma. Other therapeutic experience includes cardiovascular diseases, muscular diseases, osteoarthritis, major depressive disorder, gastroenterology, and ophthalmology. Sara has led complex projects, including first in human through pivotal registrational studies. Sara has extensive experience driving study delivery from start-up, through database lock, and has supported multiple CSRs, regulatory submissions, inspections, and approvals.

Sara was previously a Senior Clinical Trial Lead at EMD Serono managing global Phase Ib and Phase III oncology studies within a large international matrix organization. Sara also held increasing levels of responsibility in Clinical Operations at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, leading several Phase I through III studies and contributing to the successful commercial launch of the compound she worked on for almost 5 years. In her roles at Halloran, EMD Serono, and Deciphera, Sara has served as a cross-functional team leader, overseeing and evaluating CROs and vendors, supporting process improvement workstreams, maintaining inspection readiness, and successfully executing clinical trials within budget, timelines, and quality standards. Sara has also previously held positions as a site monitor at PAREXEL, and an administrative role at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
