Senior Systems Support Associate – Boston

In this role, you will be a key resource for Halloran employees by solving various technology (both hardware and software)-related issues, both remotely and in person when onsite. You will support the day-to-day operations of Halloran’s Information Technology (IT) operations by providing end user support, maintaining onsite hardware and network infrastructure, troubleshooting cloud-based applications, and working with the Halloran team.
Characteristic Duties:
- Partner with IT team members and Halloran colleagues on the resolution of technology issues, including providing help desk support as needed for systems and applications used by Halloran team members
- Manage ticket escalations and technical support to end-users via phone, email, and chat
- In partnership with IT team members, partner with Halloran colleagues to understand needs for additional technologies, software, hardware, and security solutions and propose solutions
- Provide guidance on the implementation of new systems, software, and system improvement through hands on support
- Utilize available resources and document libraries in order to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical difficulties
- Develop organization-wide announcements, job aids, and instructional documentation to aid in the roll out of systems upgrades and rollouts
- Provide a high-touch level of communication to all employees while resolving technical issues in a timely manner
- Effectively explain technical solutions provided to Halloran team members to ensure recurring problems do not persist
- Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of new employees, including adding to and removing from various corporate systems, installing, and configuring computer and other hardware systems, and assisting in new employee orientation
- Demonstrate the ability to pivot onto various tasks and handle competing priorities, while prioritizing deadlines and delivering results that meet high standards
- Escalate any IT related issues to other IT team members, if necessary
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of three years of related experience if you possess a Bachelor’s Degree; additional related experience may substitute for required education
- Ability to work independently and with limited guidance; self-motivated and self-sufficient
- Experience supporting Windows systems and applications
- Strong prioritization and time management skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Proficient using Windows Server, Windows 10, Office 365
Preferred:
- Experience with Box.com, Zoom and/or Okta platforms and systems
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry
- Experience troubleshooting basic network issues
- Experience supporting Mac systems and applications
Compensation:
The targeted gross compensation range for this position is between $65,000.00 and $80,000.00 annually. Please note: this compensation range is Halloran’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this particular position at the time of posting; however, Halloran may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
