Doug Shaw draws from over 27 years of operational and consulting experience with a variety of companies to quickly comprehend complex regulatory/ business challenges and craft insightful solutions. Doug is an accomplished senior leader with the acumen to visualize, plan and execute IT Governance, organizational change, data integrity and software quality initiatives to help to expand life science organizations achieve their goals.
Over the past 12 years, Doug has assembled and led consulting teams to support organizational change management and inspection-readiness programs through goal establishment, roadmap development/ implementation, corporate training, and ongoing fine-tuning of compliance and business processes. Doug offers progressive, scalable and efficient organizational solutions to challenging issues that are risk-based, rooted in leading-edge industry thinking and draw from extensive professional experience in the life sciences.
After spending the early part of his career developing, automating and validating assays for infectious diseases and drug purity, Doug moved into software quality/ compliance- related positions of increasing responsibility with operating companies such as Bayer, Genentech, Actavis and Sidus BioData. In each of these roles, Doug was responsible for assuring compliance and business needs were met or exceeded for a large variety of regulated computer systems/ infrastructure.
Doug earned a Master of Science in Area of Environmental Biology from Hood College and a Bachelor of Science in Area of Biology from Radford University. Doug is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Information Systems and Control Association (ISACA).
