Halloran is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Technology Solutions practice area. As a Senior Consultant, Technology Solutions you will provide senior-level subject matter expertise and advisement and lead cross-functional project teams through complex engagements focused in the areas of life science technology enablement and digital transformation. You should have a firm understanding of technology solutions used in supporting clinical research, exceptional communication skills, a flexible approach, a positive attitude, and a proven track record in successfully driving and advising the delivery of project-specific outputs through internal and external stakeholders.


Characteristic Duties:
  • Participate in and/or lead scope definition and proposal/statement of work authoring for complex projects; suggest novel approaches and methodologies to meet client objectives with project delivery
  • Assess/audit client computer systems and infrastructure for compliance gaps and inefficiencies; develop and implement remediation plans
  • Manage and execute implementation of regulated software for clients including activities such as system selection, vendor auditing, business requirement mapping, validation planning/execution, system documentation, software testing, data migration, and training
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures defining compliant Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices for life science organizations that develop regulated software
  • Evaluate current state of clients with respect to technology and develop future state roadmaps defining strategy for adoption of computer systems to meet evolving business objectives, compliance requirements, and efficiency needs
  • Manage project team and activities, including but not limited to:
    • Optimizing project resources, schedule, and budget 
    • Analyzing and reporting project status including deliverables, budget, schedule, resources, and risks
    • Providing ongoing updates to internal external project team members/stakeholders via dashboards, presentations, and other appropriate communication methods
    • Proactively identify, mitigate, and raise awareness to project risks; ensure timely resolution
  • Facilitate decision making within the Halloran team and client (e.g., brainstorming, strawman, prioritization, polling)
  • Plan and facilitate workshops (e.g., process mapping, Kaizen) or other brainstorming sessions
  • Participate in and/or lead Halloran initiatives to drive standardization and increase efficiency
  • Participate in thought leadership activities such as publications, speaking and/or attendance at industry meetings, professional consortia, and working groups
  • Identify new business development opportunities (e.g., clients, prospects) through existing client engagements and consulting networks
  • Support the development and maintenance of client engagement plans and ongoing client and Halloran C-suite level communication
  • Lead and manage team members to ensure client, employee, and company goals are achieved, either in a matrixed or direct management relationship
  • Educate clients on Halloran services and identify business development opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned




  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science-related discipline, computer science, business or management, or demonstrated equivalent and a minimum of twelve years of industry experience in life sciences
  • Expertise in core clinical systems such as CTMS, eTMF, EDC, Content Management, and the data contained therein
  • Advanced knowledge of working/reviewing aggregate data
  • Demonstrates independence in managing clients/deliverables with ability to proactively propose alternative solutions and pathways
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks while still keeping a high level of attention to detail throughout the entirety of the project life cycle
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically to problem solve; using logical and efficient processes to achieve results and build relationships, credibility, and trust with the client


  • Previous consulting experience in life sciences, clinical research, and/or technology related fields
  • Experience in software project management, business analytics, and/or IT compliance (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, GAMPS, ISO 27001)
  • Expertise in data integrity, privacy, and migration across different enterprise and content management systems and organizations
  • Curiosity and awareness of evolving competitive, regulatory, and best practice environment for life science companies 
  • Lean Six Sigma, Lean Business Process, and PMP certifications
  • Deep understanding and application of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical regulatory compliance
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, computer science, or Business Administration
