Halloran is looking for an Associate Principal Consultant to join its Organizational Solutions practice area. In this role, you will set direction and lead large client engagements, assist in the management of the consulting practice operations of a major functional area, and support the Vice President of Organizational Solutions and executives in the development of the strategy and direction for the practice. They will lead technically complex, high-profile projects, and act as key client interface for engagements.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Leads cross-functional teams, change management initiatives, process harmonization, continuous improvement and/or quality system improvements and transformations.
  • Acts as a team leader with direct reports and participates in the hiring, career development, and performance management of assigned employees.
  • Sets direction within the practice, client engagements, and for staff development.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to clients regarding the evolving regulatory landscape, GCP guidelines, and industry best practices for the conduct of clinical research to enable continuous improvement.
  • Responsibilities will include driving the proposal process, owning client relationships, establishing standardized methodologies, and advising project team members.
  • Establishes client engagement plans, high quality deliverables, and ongoing client and Halloran executive-level communication.
  • Focuses equally on results (high-quality deliverables that meet objectives); process (use of logical and efficient processes to achieve results); and relationships (engendering the client’s trust and goodwill among team members).
  • Identifies new business development opportunities and utilizes consulting networks to identify new clients, prospects and business opportunities. Brings existing book of client business/network contacts to Halloran.
  • Works independently seeking guidance from management as appropriate.
  • Effectively facilitates decision-making (e.g., brainstorming, strawman proposals, consolidation of input, prioritization, polling, advocacy, elimination, etc.).
  • Manages time effectively across the project and across team members projects.
  • Reports progress against objectives to both internal and client stakeholders, including interim project meetings and end-of-project debriefs.
  • Manages the project budgets, identifies and addresses scope changes, and accountable for client invoice accuracy.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree in life science, business, or management. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years’ work experience in a life sciences company (e.g., biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, Contract Research Organization), other area of the healthcare industry, or demonstrates an equivalent.
  • Fundamental knowledge of all clinical operations functions (e.g., Trial/Site Management, Monitoring, Safety, DM, Biostats, etc.) and all phases of study execution.
  • Experience (preferably leadership) managing organizational change (e.g., integration of acquisitions, growth/downsizing, building organizations, continuous improvement initiatives) is preferred.
  • Project management or process improvement certifications are a plus (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
