Lead Consultant, Clinical & Medical

Halloran is looking for a Lead Consultant with strong execution skills to lead and support client engagements. They will lead technically complex, high-profile projects, and act as key client interface for Clinical/Medical engagements. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as a project lead (i.e., establishing timelines, milestones, and resource requirements) for a variety of client engagements focused in the areas of project management, clinical, and/or medical affairs.
  • Conduct organizational and/or process gap analyses, SOP writing, and other activities focused on transformational initiatives to drive standardization and increase efficiency.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to clients regarding the evolving regulatory landscape, GCP guidelines, and industry best practices for the conduct of clinical research to enable continuous improvement, change management, and/or compliance readiness deliverables.
  • Focus equally on results (high-quality deliverables that meet objectives); process (use of logical and efficient processes to achieve results); and relationships (engendering the client’s trust and goodwill among team members).  
  • Suggest innovative approaches and methodologies to meet client objectives with project delivery.
  • Identify expansion or new opportunities within existing client engagements by leveraging previous experiences and insights to identify these new opportunities.
  • Leads cross-functional teams, change management initiatives, process harmonization, continuous improvement and/or quality system improvements and transformations. 
  • Responsibilities will include driving the proposal process, owning client relationships, establishing standardized methodologies, and advising project team members. 
  • Effectively facilitates decision-making (e.g. brainstorming, strawman proposals, consolidation of input, prioritization, polling, advocacy, elimination, etc.)
  • Reports progress against objectives to both internal and client stakeholders, including interim project meetings and end-of-project debriefs.
  • Manages the project budgets, identifies and addresses scope changes, and accountable for client invoice accuracy.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in life science, business, or management. 8 to 12 years’ work experience in a life sciences company (e.g., biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, Contract Research Organization), other area of the healthcare industry, or demonstrates an equivalent.
  • Fundamental knowledge of all clinical operations functions (e.g., Trial/Site Management, Monitoring, Safety, DM, Biostats, etc.) and all phases of study execution.
  • Project management or process improvement certifications are a plus (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
